The Dirty Birds are headed to the Super Bowl

by Jeff Lightsy Jr.

The Atlanta Falcons have punched their ticket to Super Bowl LI. In blowout fashion the Falcons wiped the floor with the Green Bay Packers to the score of 44-21. The team from down south was led by there quarterback and potential NFL MVP Matt Ryan. He finished the game with 392 yards passing and 5 total touchdowns. Ryan’s number one target Julio Jones had quite the performance himself reeling in 9 catches for 180 yards and 2TD’s. From start to finish there was pure domination over the Packers taking a 24-0 lead into halftime.

mattryanNow, you didn’t think with Gucci Mane, Usher, Dwight Howard, Ludacris, among other famous celebrities the Falcons were going to lose did you? Well if you did to bad because not only did the Falcons win but they look to be the favorite against whoever they play in the Super Bowl. The number 1 offense in the NFL looks to have no weakness on that side of the ball. Lets not sleep on that Falcons D. This defense gave up only gave up 21 points (Most of those after the game was pretty much decided) to a Packers team who had won 8 straight games.

falconsmattThis is uncharted territory for this Falcons franchise. This is only the second Super Bowl appearance in their history, the last coming in 1999 when they lost to the Denver Broncos. Nobody in this organization knows what this feels like to be here, but I believe this could be something that works to their advantage. In last years Super Bowl the Broncos had not been in that position since the year they defeated the Falcons and you see how that worked out for them. But I do believe that this ATL offense will travel well and be able to score on who ever stands in their way for a Super Bowl title. #RiseUp Falcons you are going to the Super Bowl!
